New Home!

I recently moved to Clintonville, for those of you haven't heard. It was kind of a random thing, definitely of God, and I took the opportunity. My good friend Bri has lived in a house owned by an older couple that loves to rent out rooms to young students in Columbus. One day over Chipotle, I told her how I kind of wanted to move out, and she immediately said that one of the girls had just left and there was a room available at her place.
I didn't really think about it too much, the rent was great and it seemed like a nice baby step as opposed to finding my own apartment, but it's been really cool to see how things are working out.
As a designer and artist, I'm so incredibly inspired by my new house. It's a little bit messy and full of clutter, but I love it.

It's  full of patterns and vintage things you can only find in a Victorian home. My house owner, Tacee, loves to collect old things and reupholstering chairs.

My room is a sunroom. It's super tiny, but so cozy. Perfect for afternoon naps on a sunny day.

Willy the one-eyed cat everyone.

I was super excited to finally have a clawed tub. I don't know why, I just always thought they were cool.

There's literally art hanging everywhere in this house.

I love it. But I'm definitely realizing it's kind of a hard transition between living in the suburbs of Groveport and moving to tight spaces of Clintonville/downtown Columbus area. I'm definitely not used to seeing people everywhere and my neighbors more than once a week. I like it, but it'll take some getting used to.
